New Tanzanian High Commissioner to Malawi Humphrey Polepole has said his government is committed to provide technical support to Malawi in the realization of economic, trade and political polices.

He made the remarks on 16 June 2022 when he presented over letters of credence to President Chakwera at Kamuzu palace in Lilongwe.

Polepole later said his government will strengthen  the relationship which is there between his government and Malawi by utilizing opportunities which will develop the economies.

“I would like to thank the nation of Malawi for good relationship with the Tanzanian government and through this my government will make sure to utilize the opportunities in order to come up with developments through the countries’ economies,” said Polepole.

The Ambassador said Malawi has direct and unhindered access to the sea for the exportation and importation of various commodities, in line with the continental aspirations of the African Continental Free Trade Area and the regional integration agenda of the Southern African Development Community (SADC).

The Tanzanian and Malawian government share borders and are in good relations for decades.
