Patriotic Front (PF) Member of the Central Committee and party presidential aspirant Chishimba Kambwili has been detained over use of hate speech.
Deputy Police Spokesperson Danny Mwale has confirmed of the arrest.
According to Mwale, Dr Kambwili showed hatred, ridicule or contempt for a person because of race, tribe and place of origin.
This occurred between May 2021 and August 2021 at Radio Mano in Kasama, Northern Province.
The suspect is detained in Police Custody yet to be charged.
