A well-known Botswana police officer is said to have been let loose from her job as a traffic cop after she was captured in one of the Zimbabwean musical giants, Jah Prayzah’s music video.
The traffic cop had gained a huge following on social media for her incredible traffic control moves that wowed motorists in the central capital city’s busiest streets.
According to report, the police officer whose name has been given as Letlhogonolo Dichabe was dismissed from her duties in the early hours of Wednesday, June 22, after word reached to her superiors that she appeared in a promotional video with Zimbabwe’s Jah Prayzah where she was dancing to Zimbabwean music by the said artist.
In the video circulating on social media, reports claim that the famous officer was promoting an upcoming event that Jah Prayzah was supposed to feature in.
Letlhogonolo Precious Dichabe who has garnered a nickname for herself, ‘ Police Bae’ through her sensational activities on both Botswana streets and social media pages feels like she was unfairly fired as she did not mean harm in taking part in the said video.
Report reaching the publication indicates that per the police code of conduct in Botswana, a police officer is barred from participating in marketing activities outside their job specifications. She was therefore dismissed from her duties without notice.
