State Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima is reportedly to have skipped the launch of a report by Plan International Malawi titled Education Investment in Middle East, Eastern and Southern Africa Region currently underway at Golden Peacock hotel in Lilongwe.
Initially, the poster seen by this publication indicated that Chilima will be the guest of honour at the launch of the said report.
An eye witness to the event says Chilima is yet to show up at the event and the launch of the said report is currently underway.
Chilima is always time conscious.
Unconfirmed reports say his no show is linked to the recent order by President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera to withhold all delegated duties to the Office the Vice President.
Meanwhile, Chilima is scheduled to address Malawians this Friday in Lilongwe.
