
Chakwera Honors Primary School Teacher Temwa Chilenga Who Uses Her Salary To Assist Needy Students

President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has honored Chambu Primary School teacher Temwani Chilenga during the 2022 Presidential Zikomo Awards for working tirelessly in improving the well-fare of learners and underprivileged in the country.
Chilenga, a standard four teacher at the school uses part of her salary to assists needy pupils in her class buy buying them food, cloths, school materials and others.
Apart from that, Chilenga has opened an orphanage where over 100 orphans being taken care of.
Noting this contribution Chakwera has honoured her.
Others who have been awarded in Education sector includes; Dr Davis Dalitso Mkombezi, Mr Andrews Mchesi and Mr Macdonald Msiska.
Chakwera has also honored departed Martin ‘Martse’ Nkhata.
Martse has recognized for his rap music which they say equally impacted on young people and adults.
Martse died in May 2022, after a fire accident in Mangochi.
