State Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima who is also President of the United Transformation Movement (UTM) his shifted his national address from 10 am to 11 am today.

According to the statement posted on his official facebook page, the address has been shifted to a later time due to the swearing in ceremony of Supreme Court Judges at Kamuzu Palace in Lilongwe which will be presided over by President Lazarus Chakwera.

“We have noted of the swearing in ceremony of Supreme Court Judges at Kamuzu Palace in Lilongwe starting from 9 am.

“Cognizant of the importance of the State function and that it may clash with our public address to the nation slated for 10 am, our address will therefore start at 11am,” said Chilima.

He added: “We congratulate our Esteemed Judges and wish them well as they continue to serve Mother Malawi.”

Chilima’s address comes amid calls for his resignation after being implicated in corruption scandal involving well-known business man Zuneth Sattar.
