Vice President Saulos Chilima has said he is ready to be investigated by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) over his alleged in corruption dealings with British-Malawian businessman Zuneth Sattar.
Speaking this morning in Lilongwe, Chilima said he is in full support of the fight against corruption in the country hence opening his door for investigations.
The United Transformation Movement (UTM) leader said his party is for the strong fight against corruption.
He then called on his supporters and Malawians to let the ACB do its work without interference and urged the bureau to execute its duties without any pressure.
According to Chakwera when the time comes for ACB to interview him, he is more than ready to express his part.
According to Chilima, he will not make ACB’s work hard.
Chilima’s name was mentioned in ACB report as one of the people who dealt corruptly with Sattar, but he has denied the allegations.
President Chakwera crippled off delegated powers of Chilima following his involvement in corruption scandals to pave way for investigations.
But Chilima did not comment on the issue where president Chakwera crippled his delegated powers.
