State House has come out of the cocoon to clear the air surrounding the clash of programs between President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and his Vice Dr. Saulos Chilima this morning.

Chilima was scheduled to address Malawians at 10am but he has been forced to shift his address to 11am after his function clashed with the swearing in ceremony of four Justices of the Supreme Court of Appeal presided over by President Chakwera at Kamuzu Palace in Lilongwe.

Commenting on the matter, Director of Communication at State House Sean Kampondeni said President Chakwera decided to start the swearing in ceremony an hour earlier to pave way for the Vice President Saulos Chilima’s public address which was slated for 10:00 am.

Meanwhile, the swearing in ceremony of Judges at Kamuzu Palace is over now the attention is on Chilima.

Many people claim that Chilima’s address has the potential to further divided the Tonse Alliance which is being headed by Chakwera.
