The body of Professor Ben Kalua will be laid to rest at his house in Zomba.
Kalua died on Sunday at Mwaiwathu Private Hospital in Blantyre after a short illness.
His Nephew Professor Khumbo Kalua confirmed of the development in an interview with the press on Sunday morning.
Until his death, Kaluwa was serving as Professor of Economics from the University of Malawi.
