Panji Kaunda, Son to Zambia’s first President Kenneth Kaunda has presented his letters of credence to President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera at Kamuzu Palace in the capital Lilongwe.
Zambia President Hakainde Hichilema appointed Panji Kaunda as High Commissioner to Malawi in May this year.
In his speech Kaunda said the two countries will work towards enhancing free trade and free movement of people which has the potential to improve the economies of the two countries.
He said through the bilateral relationship, the two countries will also ensure swift opening of boarder facilities.
Before presenting letters of credence to Chakwera, Kaunda inspected the guard of honour mounted by Malawi Defence Force (MDF) soldiers at the palace.
Yesterday, Kaunda held an audience with Minister of Foreign Affairs Nancy Tembo.
