KENYA – Police in Kaimosi, Nandi county have launched a manhunt for a 17-year-old suspect who allegedly killed his cousin on Sunday after a disagreement overcharging a mobile phone.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), preliminary investigations revealed that the two got into a heated argument over who would start charging their phone.
“Preliminary investigations indicate that the two had argued over who would charge their phone first, before the young man reached for an arrow, and stabbed the deceased on the left side of his chest before taking off,” said the DCI.
The deceased identified as Josphat Kibet, 31, was rushed to Kapsabet County Referral hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
