Malawi’s comedienne Nyauyu real name Felistus Ngwira has claimed she was offered K10 million by one of the country’s big boy in an exchange with her forbidden fruit.
The comedienne, says the money was to sponsor her ‘Vilekeke Night of Laughter event which she organized earlier this month.
“I remember someone told me “I can give you 10 million just now all you have to do is come to my room uzanidikulire. I looked at this man and said “So the idea doesn’t matter all you want is to enter the holy of holies of Vilekeke Kingdom? And he said yes with no shame at all eee kweni doda lila mwabanthu,” she wrote.
Nyauyu who later n described the behavior as disgusting said with such thinking the country cannot progress in any way.
“We might not go far as a country not because we don’t have game changers but because some decision makers want to make decisions using their downstairs and as long as they are satisfied they don’t care the implementation of projects,” she said.
However, Malawians on social media have bashed Nyauyu’s claims and described her as an attention seeker.
People have therefore called on her to name and shame the person if what she is alleging is all true.
