Former Secretary to President and Cabinet, Lloyd Muhara and managing director of Mulli Brothers Limited Leston Mulli have spent a night in Police cell in the capital Lilongwe.
The two were arrested on Tuesday by the fiscal police on allegation of abuse of office.
Deputy National Police spokesperson, Harry Namwaza has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
According to information at hand, the two will appear in court today for bail application.
The two are accused of having a hand in a loan settlement deal to have Mulli Brothers Limited (MBL) pay K5 billion in 50 years.
