Councillor for Blantyre City Soche East Leonard Chimbanga has accused President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera of behind the arrest of some Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) top officials.
Chimbanga’s claim follows the arrest of former Secretary to President and Cabinet (SPC) Lloyd Muhara and Business tycoon Leston Mulli.
Writing on his official facebook page Chimbanga described the arrest as political.
“The hypocrisy in this country is very sickening. They arrest Mneneri Joshua Mbele, they are looking to arrest BEN Longwe they arrest Muhara and Leston Mulli. A particular judge has become the devil’s advocate against DPP. Steven Kayuni doesn’t disclose that Msukwa is his Uncle but he is still at work. That’s the Reverend’s way of integrity. But Sattar gets paid , those mentioned as beneficiaries are in their offices . Sattar comes to Malawi. But in UK they know that he was obstructing Justice but the Malawian President doesn’t know that he was in malawi.
“The Attorney General grants amnesty to looters the president forgives him. We don’t have passports because of the same guy but the President looks the other side. Macra board faulted for recruitment of DG but he is still working,” wrote Chimbanga.
He added: “The same board blows millions in Dubai but the President sees nothing wrong. The ombudsman faults the recruitment of Henry Kachaje but the board and the President sees nothing wrong. Kondwani Nakhumwa chews covid funds Chakwera sees nothing wrong and No investigations are carried out.
“Pastor Thom tries to smuggle a loan authorization bill for Baroda bank which happens to be Sattar’s bank . Chakwera sees nor hears no evil. Then ask Gospel Kazako he will tell you this Government is fixing broken systems.”
