Gaziel Chimzere of Mpama ward was on Friday elected as Nkhotakota District Council’s new chairperson.
Chimzere who amassed 11 votes against his contender Wanangwa Harawa who got 2 votes promised for a cordial relationship among duty bearers at the council.
He is deputised by John Funda of Kasitu ward who went unopposed.
