Gender Justice Clinic, a department under the Faculty of Law in the University of Malawi (UNIMA), formally Chancellor College has asked law enforcers in the country to arrest four ladies seen in a video assaulting a man suspected of leaking nudes photos one of the ladies.

On Monday the social media was awash with a video clip showing ex-girlfriend and her three friends mercilessly beating up a man accused of leaking nudes photos.

According to information at hand, the ex-girlfriend to the victim trickled him to come and collect his stuff while she had already discussed with her 3 friends to give him a lesson.

The video has since gone viral with many asking the law enforcers to act on the matter.

In a statement released by Gender Justice Clinic under the Faculty of Law of the University of Malawi has asked authorities to act, saying the matter has to be given similar attention as is often the case with violence against women.

Chairperson for the grouping, Trecia Ndelema said each person has to be protected against any acts of violence regardless of sex.

“Violence is violence. As a society we have reached an important time where it is vital to recognize the plight of men, who have to deal with violence perpetuated by them,” reads in part the statement.
