A 28 year old Zambian nurse Mable Namonje is demanding K25, 000 from her boyfriend for refusing to marry her after dating for 10 years.
Namonje has dragged her 30 year old boyfriend to court and demanded that the man must either compensate her with amount worth K25, 000 or marry her.
According to the nurse, the man is also responsible for her virginity loss
“She wants K25, 000 for misusing her in 10 years” her relatives said.
According to her family, they are fearing of losing her if the man insists on refusing to marry her.
“I started going out with him since I was 16 and I have not known any man apart from him”, the sobbing seemingly reserved and principled young lady told a well packed court.
To the contrary, her unconcerned man told the court he is processing a loan adding that he will pay her K25, 000 cash before this month ends.
“its better I pay her K25, 000 in full than marrying her”, Mr Mulenga told the shocked court.
