NIGERIA – The Delta State Police Command has arrested three young people who allegedly broke into a couple’s house and killed them. According to Punch Newspapers, the incident occurred in Amai community where the couple lived with their children.
The suspects identified as Chukwudi Sunday, Onyebuchi Paul and Ifeanyi Enuma were arrested after the police received a complaint from the neighbours of the deceased. The Delta State Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Ali, confirmed the incident while briefing newsmen yesterday.
Mr Muhammad revealed that all the three suspects were working for the couple but they decided to join a cybercrime gang. In an attempt to get money for phones and data subscription, they broke into the couple’s house at night and robbed them. During the robbery, two of the suspects attempted to sleep with the woman but her husband resisted them. They killed him and then slept with her before killing her too.
“Two of the suspects, Chukwudi Sunday and Onyebuchi Paul slept with the wife before she finally gave up the ghost. The suspects will be charged to court upon completion of the investigation.” The police commissioner stated.
