A 6-year-old learner at Chisawani Primary School has died after a speeding vehicle run over the boy and his sibling while they were trying to cross a road at Bvumbwe trade center in Thyolo district.
An eye witness, Eluby Mulowotha, who is also a teacher at the school said the boy has reportedly died at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) in Blantyre.
Mulowotha said, the driver had rushed the two leaners to the hospital.
Police are yet to comment on whether they have arrested the driver or not.
