Mponera (Dowa) Police Public Relations Officer Sergeant Macpatson Msadala, has confirmed the death of 45-year-old pedestrian, Biliyati Maliyere after being hit by a vehicle.
“The incident occurred on Monday July 25 , 2022 at Namwiri Trading centre along Kasungu-Lilongwe M1 road and involved a motorvehicle registration number BU7333 Toyota Hiace which was coming from Kasungu, “said Msadala.
He was pronounced dead at Mponera Rual Hospital and the driver has been identified as Fanuel Kabebu aged 36.
Maliyere hailed from Mgunda village TA Dzoole in the district.
