Center for Democracy and Economic Development Initiatives CDEDI has said they will not be intimidated with the abduction of their leader Sylvester Namiwa and their demonstrations will proceed as planned.
Yesterday, the human rights grouping via its Facebook page announced that Namiwa, CDEDI’s Executive Director was taken by unknown people in Lilongwe around Area 3.
Namiwa was abducted 45 minutes after he finished addressing members of the media updating them on today’s demonstrations against president Lazarus Chakwera.

But the officials of CDEDI said they continue with the demonstrations to protest against impunity.
