MDF Soldiers Join Lilongwe And Mzuzu Demos

Information reaching us indicate that Malawi Defence Force (MDF) soldiers have joined the police in providing security to people and property in Lilongwe and Mzuzu demonstrations.
There is high turnout of protesters in Lilongwe and Mzuzu as business remains at stand still.
In Mzuzu Demos have been organised by grouping dubbed “Action Against Impunity” and in Lilongwe they have organised by Centre for Democracy and Economic Development Initiatives (CDEDI) to force president Lazarus Chakwera to trim presidential powers.
