The Malawi Congress Party (MCP) claims that two of its senior members that have defected to the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), did not seek an audience with the party officials before making their decision public.
Yesterday, Director of Research for the Eastern Region Madalitso Mwachande and national executive member Anthony Luwanda announced that they have joined the DPP.
However, MCP Spokesperson, Reverend Maurice Munthali told the press that, the party is not moved with the decision and hopes the two will rescind their decision.
Meanwhile Political Analyst Victor Chipofya has questioned the value of the two to the DPP.
