Sylvester Namiwa, Executive Director for Civil Society Organization (CSO) under the banner Center for Democracy and Economic Development Initiatives (CDEDI) is blaming President Lazarus Chakwera for his alleged abduction.

Speaking after receiving medical treatment at ABC clinic in Lilongwe, Namiwa claimed that what happened to him is a move by the government to silence him from addressing critical issues affecting common Malawians.

According to him President Chakwera is a threat to democracy.

“This is simply an attempt to silence critical voices but I will not keep quiet,” said Namiwa.

When asked to give details on what really happened, Namiwa said he must speak to his family and lawyers first.
