A man in Zambia has killed himself by jumping into a river after he had a fight with his over his girlfriend.
Southern Province Acting Commissioner of Police, Fabian Mwaba, confirmed and identified the deceased as an electrician at Chikankata Mission Hospital.
Earlier, a witnesses had told Byta FM News that the deceased identified as Emmanuel Shabeenzu aged 36 of Shampande area threw himself in Chikankata dam after a dispute with his wife over a girlfriend.
The deceased is said to have spent a night at the girlfriend’s place but when he went to his home Wednesday morning, the wife asked him to take her where he slept.
However, as the couple reached the bridge at Chikankata dam, he allegedly threw himself in the water body.
