Prophet David Mbewe of Living Word Evangelical Church has joined the People’s Party ditching the former ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).
Mbewe’s resignation comes amid infighting in the opposition DPP ahead of the elective conference next year.
He has been welcomed today by the party’s National Executive Council in Lilongwe.
Former President Dr. Joyce Banda who is also founder of PP graced the ceremony.
