Democratic Progressive Party Vice President for the Eastern Region Bright Msaka has declared interest to contest as President of the party ahead of the next year’s elective conference.
Msaka’s declaration come barely days after the former first lady Gertrude Mutharika denied reports that she has endorsed Msaka as the best candidate to replace former President Peter Mutharika.
He said, people have been pushing him to confirm if indeed he is going to contest or not, according to Msaka he is now confirming officially that he is going to contest on the position of President at the convention.
Msaka said he is a law professional and an international relations expert. He said he has everything to take DPP to greater heights.
If voted to be DPP President, Msaka said he will serve Malawians.
He said Malawians are suffering from many challenges facing the country. According to Msaka there is pain and grief on faces of Malawians as they have no leader.
Msaka said, it is sad that current government is failing to address challenges facing the Nation, he promises to change Malawi and make the nation successful.
