Business came to a standstill at Ginnery Corner in Blantyre near Ecobank where two thugs were trying to get away with money they had stolen after breaking into a certain car.
The suspects abandoned a vehicle they were using to flee the scene after people surrounded it.
The victim, who was visibly shaken, confirmed his car had been broken into and has since rushed to report to police.
The cash, which was in a big envelope, has since been recovered as the two thugs threw it away while fleeing.
