Chief Secretary to the Office of the President and Cabinet Colleen Zamba has saluted President of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa for the warm reception in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
Zamba accompanied President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera who is attending the 42nd Ordinary Summit of SADC Heads of State and Governments in DRC.
According to Zamba, Ramaphosa was best friend her father whilst in University.
“On My mind the President of South Africa His Excellency Ramaphosa heard of me, daughter of Mr Zamba- he told me they were friends in University with Obaba and he was pleasantly happy to meet a friend’s daughter. He called his people to take pictures because he has to show another common friend that he met the daughter. Obaba I cried you – thought and thought to myself. Humbled I was and I am. Yes I recall the numerous pictures of University in SA you used to show us in our little village house, the way they were all around you and loved the nuts from Malawi, Mtate Zamba was how they called you.
“Today I am harvesting in Kinshasa, DRC what you sowed – who am I to be shown this favour & honour; Let alone for my own Republican President, His Excellency Dr Laz Chakwera, to appoint me to this Highest office of the Civil service of a nation. It is only God. I give you Glory I give you Honour Lord. To my President I thank you Sir for believing in me, exposing me, I would not have this if it was not for You Sir to create the environment. Obaba the Book you taught us every day for a min of 2 hrs/day says “ but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments,” wrote Zamba.
She added: “Exodus 20:6 NIV
“I can testify to this. That’s on my mind fb this morning. I am shown the love by Jehovah because of my father. Obaba May your gentle, courageous, bold, hardworking, soul continue resting in perfect peace. See your Collee!!”
