Fiscal Police have arrested Greenbelt Authority Lands Administration Officer John Ngwenya for his alleged involvement in a fraud case at Nthola Illola rice project in Karonga on compensation for land.
Deputy National Police Spokesperson Harry Namwaza has confirmed of the arrest in an interview with the press.
But Namwaza could disclose more details on the matter.
An inside source at Greenbelt Authority has told us that Ngwenya was arrested yesterday in Lilongwe and will be taken to Karonga today, where the land dispute happened.
