An unknown explosive has claimed the lives of a 2-year-old baby and two others aged 5 and 9 respectively in Mpulungu District.
A 24-year-old Census enumerator and a 44-year-old woman are also victims of the explosion.
The two are nursing injuries in hospital and are believed to have sustained multiple fractures, but are in a stable condition.
Investigations have since been launched to establish what caused the explosion.
