Opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Administrative Secretary Francis Mphepo has been accused of forging signature of the party’s Secretary General Grezelder Jeffrey.
According to information at hand, Mphepo committed the offence in an attempt to obtain authorization from Blantyre City Council to use Desert Group in Bangwe Township for the party’s rally which was slated for last Sunday.
The Blantyre City Council rejected the requests due to the fact that the United Democratic Front (UDF) already booked the venue.
DPP is currently in leadership crisis as some top officials led by Kondwani Nankhumwa are regarded as rebels.
The move has since the party top officials muzzling each other.
