Nankhumwa withdraws MK87 million legal costs from Mutharika

Information reaching faceofmalawi indicates that Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Vice President for the South Kondwani Nankhumwa and other top official have withdrawn the legal costs filed against former President Peter Mutharika.
Lawyers for Nankhumwa, Grezelder Jeffrey, Jappie Mhango and Yusuf Thenda demanded MK87 million from Mutharika and other party officials in legal costs after winning a case where the four were illegally fired from the party.
But in information sourced by this publication says that the four have withdrawn the case.
It is said that the lawyers filed for the legal costs without consulting their clients hence the decision to withdraw the case.
Mutharika is yet to comment on the matter.
