Malawi’s number one football club Nyasa Big Bullets has unveiled a 20 year old dancehall musician Eli Njuchi as their brand ambassador, in a quest to drum more support.

Bullets’ chief executive officer Suzgo Nyirenda confirmed that the Gugugu hit maker has signed a two year deal with the People’s Team.

According to Nyirenda, they opted for Eli Njuchi because he has a huge following hence they want to attract more people to come to the field to watch their games and in the process they should be able to collect more revenues, a win-win for both sides.

“We want to attract more people to come to the field to watch our team, that’s where we get our revenue. We had to think ahead, we had to think loud, what is missing in our team, and its entertainment. So we had to bring in Eli Njuchi to entertain fans,” said Nyirenda.

Nyirenda added that the youthful star will be representing all the teams from senior team, women’s team and the under 20.

On his part, Eli Njuchi said he has gotten what he has been dreaming of.

“It feels really amazing, I really can’t put it into words. I’ve always wanted to do something in football and Bullets has given me that platform,” Eli Njuchi said.

Eli Njuchi who will be wearing jersey 67 representing the year Bulent’s was formed in 1967, added that a theme song for the team is obviously on the way.

His first task as an ambassador for the People’s Team, Eli Njuchi will perform during the game of Bullets and Tanzania’s Simba FC.
