Death has been announced of Mrs Lizzie Vachaan, mother in-law to Atupele Muluzi, former president for the United Democratic Front (UDF)
According to a statement seen by this publication, Mrs Vachaan died Saturday at a hospital in India.
Mrs Vachaan, succumbed to cancer after battling for a long time.
Funeral arrangements will be communicated later.
She has died at the age of 55.
