Police in Lusaka have formally charged opposition Patriots for Economic Progress Leader Sean E. Tembo who has been in detention for the last six days, with hate speech.
Tembo’s lawyers have confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
He was arrested last week for allegedly defaming Zambia President Hakainde Hichilema.
Tembo later got sick and was rushed to hospital.
Meanwhile, Tembo is currently feeling well.
