President Lazarus Chakwera and First Lady Monica Chakwera yesterday visited former Malawi Congress Party (MCP) President John Tembo at his home in Lilongwe.
According to State House, the visit was to wish him well as he approaches his 90th birthday this week.
Tembo served as MCP President up until 2013 where he handed over power to President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera who emerged victorious at the convention.
It was the same year he retired from frontline politics.
