Teenager Arrested For Concealing Birth Of A Child

Police have arrested a 15-year-old girl on suspicion that she concealed birth and later dumped the infant in the bush, last Thursday.
The body of the newborn was later discovered in Mlambudzi village in Thyolo by passers-by, being devoured by dogs.
Limbe Police Officer in-Charge Gladson Chipumphula who has confirmed the incident happened in the area of Inkosi Bvumbwe and said, the girls claims that she was not aware of her pregnancy until she self-delivered in that bush.
Chipumphula has disclosed that the girl, a standard seven leaner, has been taken to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) for medical examination.
