Police in Blantyre have revealed the cause of the death of three family members who were found dead in a house in Nyambadwe Township on Monday.

According to a postmortem results seen by this publication, the three lost their lives due to suffocation.

Ndirande Police publicist, Wisdon Nhlane has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press, saying a couple and their child, left a burning charcoal stove with windows closed.

This resulted into more carbon monoxide production and they suffocated and died in the process.

Burial of the three is slated for today.
