Prior to his inauguration on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 President-elect William Ruto has received congratulations from outgoing President Uhuru Kenyatta.
In his final speech from the White House on Monday night Uhuru wished Ruto luck as he gets ready to take over tomorrow.
In the inauguration ceremony scheduled to take place at the Kasarani Stadium the Head of State vowed to transfer authority to the new administration peacefully.
To Dr. William S. Ruto who will take office as Kenya’s fifth president Uhuru said My entire family and I join all Kenyans in wishing him the very best and in expressing to him our heartfelt congratulations for winning the mandate of Kenyans to lead us as our Fifth President.
At the Moi International Sports Centre in Kasarani I will tomorrow officially transfer authority to our new President in front of God and my fellow citizens. The Fifth Administration will thereafter take office ending the Fourth Administration term in the process.
