First Grade Magistrate Court in Nkhotakota has sentenced Lusungu Msumba to 14 years Imprisonment with hard labor for defiling a 15 year old pupil.
Nkhotakota Police deputy publicist Chisomo Chuma confirmed of the development.
Chuma said the convict who is 36 year of age was a serving primary school teacher and the victim was a standard seven pupil at Mwalawambira Primary School.
According to Chuma, state prosecutor Thokozani Jaziel told the court that the convict pleaded guilty of the charges levelled against him.
It is said that Msumba coaxed the 15 year old child to enter into his house on August 14, 2022 where he did the act.
