Death has been announced of Senior Chief Nkalo of Chiradzulu District.
The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development has confirmed of the development in a statement made available to faceofmalawi.
According to the Ministry, Senior Chief, real name Amadu Ali, died at his home during the early hours of Wednesday, 21st September, 2022 after a long illness.
He was born on 1st January, 1941 and was installed as Traditional Authority (T/A) Nkalo on 9th November, 1997. He was then elevated to the position of Senior Chief on 26th August, 2017.
He is survived by a son and eight grandchildren.
The remains of the late Senior Chief will be laid to rest at his Thuchira Headquarters in the district.
