Shake-up in District Councils: 8 District Commissioners Demoted

Information reaching this publication indicates that the Tonse Alliance government of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has transferred 15 District Commissioners (DC).
According to information at hand, 8 of the 15 district commissioners have being reverted to general duties such as being District Health Officers.
Ministry of Local Government Spokesperson Anjoya Mwanza has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
But Mwanza denied reports that the said 8 DCs have been demoted.
Media reports indicate that one of the demoted DCs is that of Blantyre, Neno, Mwanza, Nsanje, Ntcheu, Mangochi, Chikwawa and Kasungu.
