ZAMBIA – A 33-year-old man of Lusaka who ran away from University Teaching Hospitals (UTH), where he had been admitted for what doctors termed mysterious burns on his body, has died after being hit by a vehicle near Inter-city Bus Terminus.
Raphael Mwape disappeared from UTH three weeks ago.
After his relatives abandoned him at the hospital, Mwape is said to have been spending nights at Inter-City Bus Terminus where he used to work as a call-boy before he got sick.
“Apparently, this is not a shock to us. Our brother did a lot of damage and a lot of evil things to our family. After we heard that he ran away from hospital, we were all scared thinking that he would come home.
Of course we are not happy about his death, but let him rest in peace,” the source alleged.
“He killed his brother. God always has a way of punishing people who do bad to others. We are now free, he also wanted to kill and rape his sister.”
