Many people think that with time, in their Christian walk, the problems will diminish, or even that one day they will end.

But as we read the Word of God, we realize that the life of a Christian is a constant battle, because this world is going in one direction and we are going in the opposite direction, renouncing everything that takes us away from God.

This is not easy at all, but if we look at our life with the eyes of faith, we will see that the Lord always gives us the victory.

See what is written in Psalm 34:

“The righteous man goes through many adversities, but the Lord delivers him out of them all” (Psalms 34: 19).

The Bible tells us that the people of Israel were crossing the desert to get to the Promised Land, and they had already stayed 40 years in that desert; they had already been through the hardship of having Pharaoh persecute them, and they saw the hand of God giving them several deliverances.

So when they got close to that good land flowing with milk and honey, they thought that they would enjoy the blessing already, but they discovered that there were many giants living in that place! So they said, surely this is not the place God has for us.

Often, that is our expectation. When God promises us something; we think it will be all wonders, but suddenly there are several enemies to be overcome and we need to have faith and good cheer if we want to get out of the wilderness.

And maybe you think: “Ah, but I’ ve already been through so many struggles, will God let me go through this one more? “, ” Will my relationship end once more?”, “Will I lose my job again?

I have been through many troubles and can tell you, even if you walk even through the valley of the shadow of death, do not be afraid and do not lose your faith, for God promises to always be by your side.

Know that when you are almost reaching the promises of God, the devil will do everything to make you give up. He knows your weaknesses and knows that unbelief is your greatest hindrance to receiving the blessings, so he will make the difficulties seem so great that you will feel like a grasshopper in front of them.

And don’t forget: just the fact that you are going through struggles, may be you are on the right path. So persevere, watch out for the enemy’s attacks, and seek God’s presence in prayer. As the Bible says: Many are the adversities, but God will deliver you from them all, if you believe!
