The Center for Democracy and Economic Development Initiatives (CDEDI) through its Executive Director, Sylvester Namiwa is demanding that Natural Resources minister, Eisenhower Mkaka, be fired on the basis that he is being investigated by the Ant-Corruption Bureau (ACB).
Namiwa made the remarks during CDEDI’s press briefing in Lilongwe.
He has also asked President Lazarus Chakwera to clear himself on assertions he prematurely made public names of corruption suspects connected to businessman Zunneth Sattar.
Meanwhile, Namiwa has appealed to donor community to support the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) so that it is able to hire good lawyers to tackle crucial cases, saying the political elite is trying to frustrate the bureau.
