Motorcycle rider James Mwandira, 18 has died after losing control of his motorcycle due to over speeding upon approaching Chiseng’ezi ADMARC Depot in Mzimba.
Mzimba Police Spokesperson Peter Botha said Mwandira’s unregistered motorcycle swerved to the extreme offside verge where he and a pillion passenger fell down in the Kamuteteka-Euthini earth road.
“Following the impact, the rider sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead upon arrival at Mzimba District Hospital. Death was due to loss of blood, while the pillion passenger sustained painful chest and is receiving medication at the same facility,” says Botha.
The deceased came from Kampalo Village in Traditional Authority Chindi in Mzimba.
