Minister of Health Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda with the help from an International Organization, Evidence Action has launched a Safe Water project in Blantyre district.
The project was first implemented in Zomba district in 2013.
Manager for Evidence Action Moses Chingwala said we are not done the projects, it will rise up to seven districts.
Benson Botha country director for the organization, confirmed that the water supply has helped more people in Zomba.
Benson said,”About six hundred thousand people have benefited Zomba district and about 2.7 million are expected to be reached with the project.”
The project will assist in countering cholera cases the country is registering in most parts of the country and fighting other against waterborne diseases.
