SEND CHILDREN TO EARLY LEARNING CENTERS

Parents have been encouraged to send their children to school at an early age

District Council early childhood development Kondwani Viano made the call in Mzimba.

Fifty children graduated from eight CBCCs.

“To make that children receives proper care and support the government introduced early education development programme,” he said.

Viano said, “All children in Mzimba should be sent to CBCCs.”

St John of God project coordinator Byson Chidzalo, whose organisation supported the graduation, said they are working with 170 CBCCs in the district and the CBCCs has 537 caregivers.

Machecheta CBCC caregiver Gloria Mwale said,” We working hard, we at least need support from the government and some partners.”

A six year old girl Wezzie Chirwa a learner at CBCCs appreciated the school for the good work it has been doing.

She said, “I have learnt a lot when I was in my nursery level and I am glad that am going to start my primary level at the same school.”

St. John of God is implementing Inclusive Early Childhood Care and Development Project in T/As Kampingo Sibande, Mzikubola and M’Mbelwa with support from Save the Children.
