The two have been identified as Shyley Kondowe and Adamson Mkandawire.

In a statement addressed to ACB and copied to MPS and FIA, FND National Coordinator Fryson Chodzi said the conduct raised by the two government officials raise suspicion.

“We are disturbed with the picture that is making rounds on social media platforms alleged to be that of as Shyley Kondowe and Adamson Mkandawire, both said to be advisors of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera , who are displaying huge sums of cash in United States Dollars on the table.

“The two being public officers working with the President, the image being displayed raises questions as far as the offenses under financial crimes act, money laundering act, foreign currency control and the corrupt practices act is concerned,” reads in part the letter.
